Pintler Adventures Riding Guide
Copper Court RV Park → Storm Lake → Peterson Meadows → East Fork Reservoir → Red Lion → Philipsburg Corridor
All rides begin at Copper Court RV Park, your Anaconda hub with direct access to the Pintler Range. Routes use legal, designated motorized trails within the Beaverhead–Deerlodge National Forest and surrounding public lands.

RIDE 1 — Storm Lake Basin Loop
2–3 Hours • Experience Level: Beginner–Intermediate
A smooth, scenic alpine ride climbing into the Storm Lake basin with big views and cool mountain air.

• Copper Court → Mill Creek corridor
• Climb toward Storm Lake Road
• Loop the upper basin and shoreline access points
• Return the same way

RIDE 2 — Peterson Meadows Scenic Ride
3–5 Hours • Experience Level: Beginner–Intermediate
A relaxed, wide-open meadow ride with wildlife visibility and rolling two-track.

• Explore interior meadow loops and timber edges
• Return the same way

RIDE 3 — East Fork Reservoir Overlook Ride

A classic Pintler ride with a rewarding climb and sweeping views over East Fork Reservoir and the Philipsburg valley.

• Climb toward the East Fork divide
• Access designated motorized routes overlooking the reservoir
• Return the same way or extend toward Red Lion

• Loop ridge spurs and timbered drainages

All rides begin at Sugar Loaf Lodge & Cabins, perched on the Continental Divide above Anaconda. Routes follow legal, designated motorized trails within the Beaverhead–Deerlodge National Forest and the Mt. Haggin Wildlife Management Area.

WHAT TO BRING
Eye Protection
While riding, sunglasses or goggles are recommended. Goggles and maps are available for purchase at rental location(s) or you can pre-order when making your reservation.
Food & Water
Bring plenty of water and extra food. You should always be prepared for the worst, in case you get stranded or lost.
Extra Clothing &
Rain Gear
Dressing in layers is wise, but remember to bring extra clothing in case the weather turns cold.
First Aid Kit
A first aid kit is essential, as you may be far from any type of medical care if you were to have an accident.
Sunscreen
While it may field cool in the mountains, the UV rays are much more intense at higher elevations and you will burn more quickly.
Drivers License
We’ll need your driver’s license for our rentals.
Closed Toe Shoes
Protect your feet with closed toe shoes. Sandals are not recommended.
Helmet
Bring your helmet, if you have one. Our rental locations also have helmets available.

WINTER TRAILS
Red Lion Snowmobile Trail System

Located at Georgetown Lake, this system offers 32 miles of groomed and marked trails.

The trails are maintained by the Anaconda Snowmobile Club in collaboration with the Forest Service and Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

Parking is available at the Red Bridge Fishing Access and Cable Mountain Campground.
Georgetown Lake
Three major trail systems totaling 140 miles offer opportunities for family snowmobile touring, with a snow shelter for cookouts and picnics, to more challenging riding through deep snowpack.
Virginia City
Three snowmobile trail systems in the Gravelly Range provide challenging opportunities for experienced riders, and easier rides with access to resorts. Highlights of the 130 miles of snowmobile trails include Alder Gulch, Summit City, Antelope Basin, Tobacco Root Range and high mountain lakes.
Wisdom/Jackson
150 miles of groomed trails link up with other snowmobile trail systems including the Wise river-Polaris Trail, Steel Creek trails, Wise River trails, Salmon, Idaho club trails, and over the Continental Divide into the Bitterroot Valley.
Wise River
Area highlights include Pettengill’s Falls, Long Tom Cabin, backcountry lakes, high plateaus and plenty of open meadow play areas. 150 miles of groomed trails at elevations from 5,500 feet to 8,000 feet.
